County Nominating Convention - Thursday, March 26, 2026

Thank you to all of our county convention delegates for your time, dedication, and active participation in this year’s caucus and convention process.

The caucus/convention system is the Republican grassroots way of selecting candidates—giving a voice to engaged community members and ensuring the process is driven by those who are committed to our principles.

We appreciate your willingness to step up, serve, and be a part of this important process.

Convention result are as follows:

Commission Seat A:

Kevin Morris 57.8%

Vicki Lyman 42.2%

Both candidates will advance from convention to the GOP Primary.

Commission Seat B:

Howard Quackenbush 77.6%

Phil Diaz 10.5%

Trevor Johnson 11.8%

Under Millard County GOP rule, Howard Quackenbush will be the only candidate to advance from convention to the GOP Primary.

Phil Diaz qualified for the GOP Primary through the signature gathering process.

Trevor Johnson was a convention only candidate and did not gather signatures.

County Sheriff

Steve O’Camb 60.5%

Patrick Bennett 39.5%

Both candidates advance from convention to the GOP Primary.

Uncontested County Offices:

County Attorney - Elise W Harris

County Assessor - Hollie Miller (2-year term)

County Auditor - Bonnie Pfaff

County Clerk - Marki Rowley

All uncontested candidates were confirmed by the delegates and will advance to the 2026 General Election.
